Safety Architecture

Built for safety. Compliant by design.

Introducing AI into the classroom demands absolute trust. That's why we didn't just build a chatbot. We built a walled garden. Every layer of our platform is engineered to protect children and empower educators.

Character education at scale. Safe by design.

Solomon (our AI mentor) is designed to be a wise, compassionate guide for students. Unlike open-ended chatbots, Solomon operates within a specific educational framework focused on wisdom, character, and emotional maturity. It engages students in 'active mentorship', listening to their feelings, validating their experiences, and offering age-appropriate coping strategies like 'Think First' or deep breathing. It creates a safe space for moral growth without exposure to the unpredictability of the open web.

Solomon's system prompt is rigorously engineering to focus strictly on character development and social-emotional learning. It guides students through moral reasoning scenarios with the warmth of a wise mentor.

We perform continuous red-team testing where our team actively tries to trick the AI into breaking its guardrails, so we can patch vulnerabilities before they ever reach a student.

Every conversation is analyzed after it ends. If the system detects content that is inappropriate for children, it flags the session for teacher review with a high intervention level.

The AI has no memory between sessions. It does not build a long-term psychological profile of any student. Each conversation starts fresh to ensure unbiased mentorship.

Solomon cannot generate images, links, code, or any content outside of plain-text educational dialogue. There is zero risk of exposing children to generated media.

After each session, our system generates a structured analysis report for the teacher, including SEL competency mapping, sentiment, and actionable follow-up prompts. The raw conversation is then deleted.

Teacher Oversight

AI provides the mentorship. You provide the wisdom.

We believe AI should extend a teacher's reach, giving every student the 1-on-1 attention they deserve. Solomon handles the immediate 'groundwork' of character coaching, helping students process feelings and practice empathy in real-time. This frees you to focus on high-impact interventions. Our dashboard surfaces key insights from these interactions, so you know exactly who needs your help and why, without having to monitor every single chat manually.

After each conversation, our AI generates a structured analysis for the teacher, including a session summary, key student quotes, SEL competency mapping, and personalized follow-up prompts. Only the analysis is stored, not the full transcript.

The dashboard provides bi-weekly behavioral analysis reports that summarize each student's SEL growth. These are insights for the teacher to interpret, not diagnoses.

Teachers can disable the AI mentor for the entire class at any time with a single toggle in the dashboard.

Principals and school administrators have an aggregated view to monitor AI usage across all classrooms, identify trends, and ensure the platform is being used appropriately school-wide.

If the analysis detects a student expressing distress or concerning language (e.g., self-harm), it halts the educational flow and flags the session for immediate teacher intervention.

Teachers can customize which story modules are assigned to their class, ensuring the AI only discusses topics the teacher has pre-approved for their curriculum.

Data Privacy

Your data is yours. Period. We will never monetize it.

We take a fundamentally different approach to student data than most edtech companies. We collect only the minimum data required to deliver our educational service, and we treat every byte of it as if it were our own children's information. We do not sell, share, rent, or trade student data with any third party for advertising, marketing, or profiling purposes. Voice AI conversations use a real-time voice-to-voice model. After a response is generated, the conversation is analyzed for teacher insights and then immediately discarded.

Voice conversations use a real-time voice-to-voice model. After the session ends, the conversation is analyzed to generate structured insights for the teacher, and the raw conversation data is then permanently deleted.

Only the AI-generated analysis report is stored for teacher review, not the raw conversation. Teachers see a session summary, key quotes, competency mapping, and follow-up prompts.

We do not collect student email addresses, home addresses, phone numbers, or any personally identifiable information beyond what the school provides (name and class assignment).

Student data is never used to train, fine-tune, or improve any AI model, whether ours or our AI provider's. We have a contractual agreement with OpenAI ensuring data sent via API is not used for model training.

Upon written request, we permanently delete all associated student data from our servers within 30 days. No residual copies are kept.

We comply with COPPA under the School Official Exception, meaning we rely on the school's consent (not direct parental consent) and we remain fully accountable to the school for how data is handled.

Secure Infrastructure

Enterprise-grade security protecting every layer of the platform.

Our infrastructure is designed with defense-in-depth principles. We don't rely on a single security measure. Instead, we layer multiple protections so that if any one layer is compromised, others remain intact. All data is encrypted both in transit using TLS 1.3 and at rest using AES-256 encryption. Our servers are hosted in SOC 2 compliant data centers, access is restricted by role-based permissions, and we conduct regular security audits to identify and remediate vulnerabilities before they can be exploited.

All network traffic between your browser and our servers is encrypted with TLS 1.3, the latest transport security standard. API calls to third-party services like OpenAI are also encrypted end-to-end.

Data at rest (including student profiles, behavioral reports, and configuration) is encrypted using AES-256, the same standard used by banks and government agencies.

Access to production infrastructure is restricted to essential engineering staff only, protected by multi-factor authentication, and logged for audit purposes. No single engineer has unrestricted access.

We use role-based access control (RBAC) throughout the platform. Teachers see only their own students. Principals see only their school. No one sees data they shouldn't.

Our hosting providers maintain SOC 2 Type 2 compliance, ensuring that the physical and logical infrastructure meets rigorous third-party security standards.

We perform regular penetration testing and vulnerability scanning. Identified issues are triaged by severity and remediated according to industry-standard SLAs.
